We invited Xavier Duval from Seishin Tanren Dojo - Hong Kong to make an introduction to Sutemi-waza.
Sutemi, or sacrifice techniques, are the signature techniques of Yoseikan Aikido, an art founded by Mochizuki Minoru who was one of the closest students of Ueshiba Morihei. They are now still taught extensively in all arts coming from Yoseikan Aikido, including Nihon Tai Jitsu, Gyokushin-ryu Aikido, Yoseikan Budo or Aikibudo to name a few.
In this session, Xavier will cover the fundamentals of sutemi-waza and link them to the Aikido technique.
For more information on sutemi-waza, you can refer to the Seishin Tanren dojo website: http://hkbujutsu.com/2016/03/25/sutemi
Time: 7-9pm
Location: Activity Room 3, 5/F, Kwun Chung Municipal Services Building
The workshop will be separated into two sessions:
Session 1: Perception of Ukemi by Jerald Tai
Session 2: Sutemi-waza by Xavier Duval
