On Friday, the 24th of May, a highly anticipated coordination meeting took place at the prestigious Hombu Dojo. Organized by the International Aikido Federation (IAF), this gathering brought together representatives from various Aikido Dojos and organizations across China. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the possibility of forming a unified team to represent China in the upcoming World Combat Games 2025, scheduled to be held in Chengdu, China.
The meeting commenced in Japan, at the revered Hombu Dojo, providing the perfect backdrop for such significant discussions. Attendees engaged in detailed conversations, outlining a comprehensive roadmap leading up to the grand event in 2025. The primary focus was on strategizing how practitioners from different Aikido backgrounds in China could come together as a cohesive unit to showcase our skills on a global platform.
One of the key milestones discussed during the meeting was the participation of the combined team from China in the IAF segment of the 61st All Japan Aikido Embukai. This participation was seen as a crucial stepping stone towards building camaraderie and unity among the practitioners from China, ultimately preparing them for the World Combat Games 2025.
As the discussions drew to a close, a sense of excitement and determination filled the room. The participants left the meeting with a clear sense of purpose and a shared commitment to work together towards a common goal. This initial meeting not only marked the beginning of a new chapter in the Aikido collaboration between China and Japan but also laid a solid foundation for the journey ahead towards the World Combat Games 2025.
Aikido Hombu Dojocho, Mitsuteru Ueshiba, was present at the end of the meeting and wished us all the best in the 61st All Japan Aikido Embukai and for the future.
This meeting represents more than just logistical planning; it is a symbol of international unity, shared passion, and collective ambition. Together, we will forge a path to excellence, demonstrating the beauty and strength of Aikido on the world stage. Let these discussions be the spark that ignites greatness, as we step forward with determination and hope, ready to make history at the World Combat Games 2025 in Chengdu.
